Going Wireless USB style.

I was out looking for a cheap wireless adapter for my home PC. The internal cards seemed expensive ranging between $60-$130, then I came across this DLink.
This is a USB wireless adapter which also has a docking station making it easy to use for both home PC and travelling with my laptop.
Besides the great wireless range (G, or B) and the ‘plug n play’ features of USB the software was also very easy to install. I had this device running and connected to the network in under 10mins!
With the USB docking station I was able to keep the PC hidden in the cupboard and run the usb cable out to the book cases, giving me a clear wireless covereage to the home router. No loss of speed!
One thing I did find is that on windows 7, the DLink software seems to not see the device after a reboot and I had to re-install the drivers… but I am sure that the update drivers from DLink will fix this!
In the end I removed the DLink software and just used Windows to manage the wireless connections. I got this one at Harris Technology for only $55…. seems like a bargain.
